12 kHz to 50 Hz Meter Pulse Converter

 

The Siemens Meter Pulse Conversion Device is intended for installation in telephone exchanges to provide conversion of 12 kHz transverse metering pulses to 50 Hz longitudinal metering pulses. The system consists of a 19” Sub-rack                                                           and plug-in Detector/Generator Cards.

 

 

The key features include :

MPCD Sub-rack

·         Provides power, line and alarm connections.

·         Access to connectors made easy with a slide out panel.

·       The sub-rack can accommodate up to 12 MPCD Det/Gen cards.

·       Suitable for mounting in Type 84, Type 92, 19 inch and ETSI racks.

MPCD Det/Gen Card

·         Each card contains two meter pulse converters.

·         One common alarm output per card.

·       High suppression of 12 kHz signalling in the customer line.

·         Shaped pulses to eliminate transients.

·         A green “busy” LED lights when the line is in use.

·         A yellow LED pulses when a meter pulse is sent.

·         A red LED lights when an alarm is detected.

·         A push button is provided to check/clear alarm LEDs.
